I cannot believe i will be visiting toronto twice in three weeks. the time, the money, the effort. but i was here for the 10th...after 4 years...and it was totally worth it. i cannot articulate the feelings one is overcome with on ashura in karachi...its just somethng no other place can make you feel...the news we were all dreading came. as i sat in the car last night in the imambara listening to the majlis, i kept thinking how easy it is for a suicide bomber to get in...what if something happens here tonight? it didnt happen last night thank God but it did happen in another part of the country, in another gathering of mourners, in another town. why can we not have an incident-free moharram?
